I had to factory reset my router. Now when I try to synch my Orbi RBS20 router. The Orbi app says satellite not found. I moved the satellite to the same room as my router with no success. I tried to reset my satellite, but after pressing the reset button for 10+ seconds, a white light never flashes . Any suggestions?Netgear Orbi Voice RBS40V I can't Set up with a router that is not an Orbi
My Netgear Orbi Voice RBS40V cannot be configured as an Extender following the guide to configure my Orbi voice as an extender when I don't have an Orbi router: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBS40V-200/RBS40V-200_QSG_EN.pdf?_ga=2.77862166.32177553.1690885087-2033231847.1669722877 I have downloaded the app, I have reset the device in factory mode (also has the latest Firmware) and in the part where it says: "Locate and connect to the Orbi Voice WiFi network called NETGEAR_EXT" well it does not show, instead I see the the SSID ORBI44 configuration itself is called ORBI4 which obviously matches with the factory default SSID sticker that I can see below my OrbiVoice but even though I connect to that SSID, the app by default only searches for network NETGEAR_EXT, which is why it doesn't let me configure it at all. Has anyone had the same case and been able to solve it? or Does anyone know how to configure it with a non-Netgear router? Thanks in advanceSolvedUsing two Netgear Orbi AC3000 RBS50Y to increase coverage range
We currently have on Netgear RBS50Y to extend our WiFi range from a main building down to the Lake front. Its about 750 yards. Down there I have 8 ARLO cameras connected to the same ARLO Base with is connected to this extender. My question is Can I get another RBS50Y to increase the coverage? If I were to use two of these extenders, how would I configure them? One to my main router and then the second to the first extender? Is there a better Netgear product (within the same price range $375) that can give me increased coverage?Orbi CBR40 Dropping Internet Connection Multiple Times Throughout the Day
Router/Modem combo randomly loses internet connection 2-3 times a day. I've had it for over 4 years and it has worked fine until a couple weeks ago. It randomly loses connection to the internet throughout the day. I thought it might be our Roku Ultra that we use for streaming but I unplugged it and used the TV to stream and experienced two drops today. Reseting the CBR40 fixes the problem and everything works fine for a while until it loses internet again and has to be reset. I've checked connections, reset the modem through my ISP, updated to the latest firmware, and repositioned the device and continue to have the same problem. Please help!Orbi CBR40 flashing white light but working (can't test speed)
I have a CBR40 that has started to flash white slowly. It DOES have internet access. I have tried the following: - checked firmware - Firmware Version V2.5.0.28_1.0.8 which Netgear says is up to date. Satellite - V2.5.1.16 - is as well - hard and soft reboot several times over a few days - moved the power to various outlets - held reset down 15 seconds to get amber and then yellow light when I try the Speed Test in the app is pings at 0.0 but can't get a speed. any help is appreciated.ORBI RBK50
Recently I purchased the ORBI RBK50. It works amazingly good in my home and I love everything about it also works smoothly and fast for my first mesh wifi setup. I know the kit comes with one router and one satellite covering 5,000 sq ft. but My house is 8.000 sq ft. so now I made the decision to buy another satellite RBS50 to work with the RBR50 already running at my house. After looking at the price of a buying just the satellite RBS50 by itself it’s more expensive compared to buying the whole kit Orbi RBK50. If I was to buy another kit RBK50 I would keep the new kit router RBR50 as a spare backup just in case or sell it and then use the satellite from that new kit to extend my coverage at home will that work perfectly fine? Or will I have to buy just the satellite RBS50 by itself in order to do that? Thank youIs Orbi satellite registered to previous owners?
Hi all, I have an Orbi RBK 50 system. Router and satellite. I’d like to buy an additional RBS50 satellite second hand. I know the routers are registered to previous NetGear accounts but was wondering if the same applies for the satellite? Can I simply buy a secondhand satellite and add it to my system with no previous owner having access to it remotely? Many thanksSolvedRBR50 - Attached not showing
I have had the RBR50 (and satellite) for a couple of years. All was going well until the last few days. I "installed" a new computer when some "challenges" appeared. I have five Netear NAS on my home network. When I try to access them, only three of the five are available. Going to OrbiLogIn.com, all five show as being "attached" devices. I have turned ON "access," as well. No change. Any suggestion as to what I should do get all five NAS showing as part of my network? Thank you.SolvedApp Issue - Using 2 RBR50 routers (one as an Access Point)
I purchased 2 of these routers with 1 satellite for each. Upstairs: - I set my Telus modem to bridge mode. - I set one of my Netgear routers and connected it to my Modem (Port 1). - I set up a satellite and have it connected to this router. Downstairs: - The second router I purchased I set up as an Access Point by logging into OrbiLogin.com and using the setting there. Used dynamic DNS as recommended. - Ran a cable from the upstairs router and plugged it into the router I set up as an Access Point. - The second satellite I set up downstairs and it seems it is connected to the Access Point router. Both the Access Point and Main router have the same Wifi login (username and password) so it seamlessly switches between them. My issue is that when logging into the Orbi App and the Circle App I get which ever router I am connected to at that moment. So I don’t get all my household devices on either App, only what is connected to whichever router at the time. I thought you could not use the Orbi app with a router in Access Point mode, did I miss somthing when setting up the access point (I followed the directions in the help section on this website, just logged in and selected the setting.) Any help would be great! Thanks!
