Random Trivia: Why does disabling Guest access also drop the primary SSID network?

I had enabled Guest access some time ago as a test and decided today to "clean house" and disable Guest access.  Clicked "Apply" and the icon spun, and spun, and spun.  For at least a full minute.  I finally clicked on other menu headings to see if the Orbi was actually "there" or not.

My home security system uses the Orbi WiFi as primary and the (slower) cellular connection as backup. The difference in speed is amazing!  It is connected to my Orbi primary SSID, not the Guest SSID.  I received two messages within a minute of each other:

Your (alarm brand redacted) system has lost its WiFi connection on 4-24-20 at 11:20 am

Your (alarm brand redacted) system has regained a WiFi connection on 4-24-20 at 11:20 am

Am I correct in assuming that changing the status of the Guest WiFi essentially "restarts" the entire Orbi WiFi radio system?

As I do not plan to do this again anytime soon, it's not worth digging out my equipment to do a Wireshark trace on the WiFi management beacons that are broadcast (every 0.2 seconds?) and see if they disappeared.

I believe the wifi section gets dropped and rebooted when Guest Network is enabled or disabled...

I have observed the same thing, any changes to the WiFi settings (power level, SSID broadcast, etc) appears to restart all client WiFi channels (maybe not the backhaul WiFi channel).
