RBK50 blocking sites

HI i have an RBK50 which seems to be blocking explicite URL sites, in particular my companies mailbox server.. I have disconnected the Orbi from my ISP CPE and connected directely through the ISP CPE after putting that back to router mode and I can connec no problems

 

As soon as I put the ISP CPE into Modem mode and connect it back to the orbi I have this issue. It used to work well.

 

If i connect using a VPN i can bypass the problem.. So i assume it must be the orbi..

 

I had to put the ISP CPE into modem mode as the back to back routers prevented my RIng security from working effectively

 

I am in the UK.. my setup is RBK50  + Sat  connected to Virgin media hub 3 (Aris TG2492LG-VM) setup as modem. Running both windows and MOS.

 

I have read on this forum, about adding the HTTPS to the blocking list with never blocking active, but this has not helped, unless i have configured this wrongly.

 

Can anyone offer any help on this issue.

    Have you tried using the gateway in router mode and putting the orbi in access point mode? 

    You loose some features on the orbi

      HI I havent tried that but was under the impression i would loose my seamless roaming as we use the orbi to provide mobile coverage over wifi .. 

       

      Was hopibg there was an explination as to why this just happened,,

        having the orbi in access point mode doesn't disable seamless roaming. It'd still work fine. It just doesn't integrate with the ISP cpe router's wireless. 

        It could be a dns issue. Have you tried using googles at 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4   or cloudfare at 1.1.1.1
