RBK50 Firmware Version 2.5.2.4?
Hi all,
I woke up this morning with a notification from the Orbi app that the firmware on my RBK50 had been automatically updated to 2.5.2.4 (screenshot attached). There doesn't seem to be any mention of this firmware anywhere online - just wondering if anybody else has received this update as well?
Could somebody from Netgear provide us with the release notes/changelog?
Thanks!

Just checked and our RBR50 is also on 2.5.2.4 although our two RBS50 sattelites are still on V2.5.1.32 (I haven't rolled back despite that firmware version being pulled since we've not had any issues with it). I wonder if this is a security update to address some vulnerability hence being pushed out. Some release notes would be useful.
- Good to know it's not only me! My RBS50 has also been updated to 2.5.2.4.
I was also previously on 2.5.1.32 as I didn't roll back since didn't seem to have any problems.
Wonder what prompted Netgear to automatically push out this new release - must have been something major. I've had the kit since November last year and this is the first release they've automatically pushed! I found same thing happens with v4 as well as v70:
v16 seems to work the best.
- pablohoneyLuminaryDo you have version 1 or version 2 of the Orbi RBR50? I have version 1 and am still on firmware 2.5.1.16
- Version 2 :)

My set got the update also last night. This morning my app anounced the update to me.
The firmware cannot be found on the official site.
@Netgear or maybe FURRYe38 please provide us with an changelog.
Sometimes NG pushes FW updates thru auto update before they post about it. I presume if NG is starting to push FW via auto update, NG will probably post it this week or next for general public. Do you see any release note information on the RBRs web page under the FW update section?

No mention of the firmware update on NG's support download page. Still shows V2.5.1.16. I just pushed a firmware check, in the GUI, and no firmware is available for update.

Previous the upgrade I was on v2.5.1.32. I wonder if the only ones that updated were all on that version, and if that is the reason the ones on v2.5.1.16 have not upgraded yet.

I was on .32 as well and Router and both Satellites auto-updated at 2am. No issues so far, but would be nice to know what was fixed/updated.

AH, making some sense now. I never updated to the pulled firmware. So like it was stated, maybe the ones that did are getting a fixed version. And the ones that didn't update are staying on the latest official pushed firmware and will get updated, later.

Yes and it is working a little better with 5ghz. Got a jump of 2-3MBps with the same system. I suspect .32 was faulty (it was slower than previous versions). I did the separation of the 2.4 and 5ghz mod and it wasn't broken with the new firmware.

Where did you find the release notes? I have not been able to find them.
- SJWarfareAspirantJust realized they’re the wrong ones. My bad, I’m an idiot.
