RBK53 Orbi- Restore from Backup Not working: 'Please select correct configuration file'
For some reason when I take a backup of the Orbi configuration I cannot restore that file to the same Orbi router and get the error statement: 'Please select correct configuration file'.
The file is exactly the same as the downloaded backup with no changes whatsoever.
I have tried this numerous times and with new backups - no difference!
I have have reset and factory reset the router many times in different reset methods and still no difference - always the same error message whenever I try to restore!
I have also tried another Orbi router and I get the same error statements.
I have tried vice versa backing up the other Orbi router and restore and no matter what the device mix I always get the same error statement.
It just appears that you cannot restore a backed up file no matter what options.
The firmware versioin is the latest 2.6.1.40 - it was the same results with the previos version too.
Can anyone offer any help to this as I cant be the only frustrated Orbi user?

Was the back up file created from a older version of FW that was loaded? If so, you may need to setup from scratch again and create a new backup file. After period of time and FW code changes in new versions of FW may redender older versions of back up files incomatible. It's not recommended to apply older versions of back up files. Backup files need to be created with each new version of FW that has been applied and after ensuring the system is working on the new version of FW and settings are configured as desired, make a NEW back up to file.

Hi - No the backup and future backups have all been taken from the same firmware version.
As I say I have now two Orbi Routers both with the same firmware version and both lots of backups taken the same firmware as try to restore. Every time the same error message.
The sizes of the backups are the same.
I get the same error message if I try one backup on the other router and vice versa - it just wont restore.
I have tried numberous factory resets using the different methods as suggested on the internet - still no success.
So why????
What browser are you using when you create these restore files?
What was the last version of FW loaded and worked with restoring from files?
