RBK53S no internet connection
Hello,
I recently bought an Orbi RBK53 to use with my Cox (ugh) internet at home. I turned the panoramic modem/router into bridge mode (Technicolor CGM4140COM) using the login page at 192.168.0.1. After this I unplug the device and plug it back in, connect the orbi and satellites as instructed using the app. The App on my galaxy S10+ is able to connect to the orbi, but unable to detect an internet connection. If I plug my laptop into the modem I get internet, but not if I plug it into one of the ports on the Orbi.
Has anyone had similar issues or any suggestions for me to try?
Thanks!
What Firmware is currently loaded?
Factory reset the RBR and use a wired PC or laptop connected to the RBR and walk thru the setup wizard with a web browser. I would also power OFF the isp modem for 30 seconds while the RBR is reset. Then log into Orbilogin.com or 192.168.1.1 with a web browser and begin the setup wizard.

- samiam1234AspirantI tried the reset and using my laptop with the same error. I swapped ethernet cables as well.
The setup client then asked me to try an alternate MAC address....so I tried the one on the modem/router combo from Cox and that seemed to do the trick.
Thanks for the help!Modem Combo Units:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktopEnjoy. :smileywink:
