RBR40 base station does not connect at 5Ghz only 2.4GHZ. Issue connecting apple devices

Hi, I am having issues with my RBR40 base station. V2.7.3.22  (base + 2 satellites).

Issue: connecting 5GHZ on base station. Only devices connecting 2.4GHZ band will work. Issue not faced with Satellite device. this affecting all apple devices

Please assist if someone resolved this issue?

After troubleshooting it is clear that issue is with 5GHZ band on the base station. Reason is:

*All wifi devices running 2.4GHZ (not apple device) will connect to base station. example Samsung TV, Arlo devices, android.

*I am not able to connect any Apple device as it uses by default 5GHZ. No way to disable 5GHZ on Orbi or force apple device (iphone or Macbook) to use 2.4GHZ band. Apple device connects to 5GHZ and then it disconnects and no IP address assigned.

*if Macbook connected to 2.4GHZ (after random deleting wifi AP profile and connecting again), network is active and don't face issue

I am not facing issue with the two satellites placed in upper floor. I am able to connect any apple device whether at 5GHZ or 2.4GHZ band. So anyone in family who wants to use his iphone, macbook will move to upper floor and connect via Orbi satellite.

    1. what modem/gateway is the router connected to?

    2. did you try factory resetting it and testing it in its stock configuration?

    3. next time you might post in the orbi forum for better results. I'll see about getting it moved.

1- It is connected to Service provider's fiber modem. This was same setup since last 4 years.

2- Yes I did factory reset. Can you please clarify what do you mean by "testing it in its stock configuration"?

3-Thanks for pointing to post in Orbi Forum. Do you suggest I delete this one and post a new one under Orbi Forum?

what fibre modem is it? model?

No you won't need to move/delete it. Already done.

by stock configuration I mean test it without changing anything on the install other than whats needed to be changed to get it run.
