RBR40 will no connect to Internet
My Orbi RBR40 suddenly stopped working. No internet. I checked the modem and actually had to go back to using the modem in order to have Internet, even if only in certain parts of my home. I tried reseting through disconnecting and reconnecting, and also with the phone app, but the rim remains red. It does connect to my devices, but they say Connected - no Internet. It's quite possible that it's busted, but in order to get a replacement, I noticed that now the router model is RBK40. Will this RBK40 work with my current satellites?
Try a power OFF of the isp modem for 1 minute then back on. Factory reset the RBR and walk thru the setup wizard with a wired PC. See if it reconnects to the modem.
Yes you can.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too? Built in router here? If so, This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-c- BernarusanAspirant
Firmware is V2.3.5.32. Modem is Alcatel Lucent I-240-WR. The thing is that my setup is been working fine for a couple of years, until the RBR40 simply stopped receiving Internet. The modem is a very simple modem and has no router function, and the RBR40 I believe has no modem function.
Do you know if I can use a new RBK40 with my current 3 satellites RBS20?
