RBR40 with 3 Satellite

I've had this system for about 5 years now but have consistent signal issues for the past 6 months. Satellites in the same locations. We have an older brick home and a finished basement. I have done factory resets, ensured firmware is up to date etc. I can walk from one room with satellite to another room with one and  my device disconnects. Sitting out on our deck connected fine then all of a sudden it disconnects. We used to get total coverage to the point we could leave the house and still be connected for a good 20-30 yards.

Am I just to the point that I need to upgrade?

  • Appreciate the response. I just bit the bullet and upgraded to the 870 and my issues have been resolved it seems.

  • What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

  • A sketchy satellite can make for a sketchy system. If you've had this more than 5 years, might be time to do a little testing. You could try turning off a satellite each day to see if the system stays stable and if it works better/worse (other than slightly less coverage with missing one).

You could also test each satellite with a hardwired device to the satellite to see if its still performing to spec with the backhaul. If one of them is having backhaul issues, it could cause issues for the device connected to it
