RBR50 2.3.0.32 Firmware upgrade file incorrect?

Hi, Just downloaded RBS50-V2.3.0.32.img and RBR50-V2.3.0.32.img. The manual update of the Satellite worked fine. The RBR50 file however is not accepted by the router (This firmware file is incorrect! Please ...). Anybody else having this issue? What can I do? The automatic update says 2.2.1.212 is the most recent.

  • OK, I found the solution. Before being able to upgrade the Orbi Router to 2.3.0.32 you have to install an intermediary update 2.2.1.212, this is only slightly higher that the latest release the router detects (2.2.1.210). After doing that it worked. The Satellite would upgrade directly however, without this intermediary step.

  • I'm trying to manually update my RBR50 and satellite. I tried automatic but it says I have the latest firmware, I'm running 210.

So downloaded the 212 and 32 firmwares from netgear. Tried to install 212 manually twice on satellite and it says file is not the correct one. Am I missing something?  Thank you.

You can update the RBS directly to v32 with out the v212. This is just for the RBR unit.
