RBR50 Firmware Update page just spins
My Orbi RBR50 is at firmware version v2.7.4.24. When I go to the Firmware Update page (in the web browser), the page just spins with "Please wait a moment..." and never shows anything. I see that there is a newer version available (v2.7.5, I believe), but I don't seem to be able to access that. Do I need to do a factory reset (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-Wi-Fi-5-AC-and-Orbi-with/New-RBR50-RBS50-Firmware-Version-2-7-5-4/m-p/2296598#M138314)?
Can you get to the manual tab to manually load the FW file at all?
Happens when using a different browser?

Netgear released firmware v2.7.5.4 in February 2023. To this day, the Firmware Update feature of both the web and app iinterfaces do not detect and offer to install this version. My own (personal) conclusion is that this product has "fallen off the radar" and no one is assigned the task of managing the firmware update process for it any longer.
Firmware updates are a touchy topic on the forum. When customers install the product and agree to the Terms and Conditions, one of the things they agree to is
There were several unpleasant situations when forcing firmware updates wreaked havoc, and Netgear has modified their internal procedures several times. The firmware process typically includes these steps:
- New firmware is released and appears on the support web site. Users are able to detect the new firmware and can choose to install it manually. Many do so and report their observations on the Community Forum.
- If there are not many reports of problems, after some indefinite length of time Netgear "flips a switch" (metaphor) and the Firmware Update process will detect the new firmware and offer to install it. Often this happens in a month or so. In the case of the RBR50, it has been 18 months! (and counting)
- Finally, at some point in time, Netgear may decide that "it's time" and push the firmware in the middle of the night. (This has happened to me.)
With the latest versions of the Orbi AX series, Netgear has introduced an option called Orbi Auto Firmware Update which allows customers to Enable or Disable upgrade to the latest firmware. Customers who prefer to "wait and see" when new firmware comes out can disable this feature and decide for themselves when they want to update. Some systems have this new option. Many (like the RBR50) do not..... and never will.
The thousands of customers who never look at the Orbi app or web interface are blissfully unaware of all of this.
So......... For the RBR50, your only option is to follow this process:
Satellites first. Router last.

Ah, thank you for that "different browser" suggestion. I should know better! I can access that page just fine with Chrome (my default browser is Firefox).

FireFox should work too. Might clear out it's browser cache data and try again. Glad a different browser works though.
Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
