RBR50 Keeps Droping
I have the Century Link C3000Z @x DSL Modem . Its set to give out DHCP Addressing - I origionly thought it was the problem and now that they have replaced it twice all point to the Orbi system The RBR50 , RBS50 and RBS40 all on Firmware version 2.2.1.210 the Orbi systems seems to haphaserdly lock up and loses its conection to the internet .. its very anoying , Any ideas as to why this seems to be progresivly getting worce ..

- The DSL Modem should not be assigning the DHCP, the Orbi RBR50 should be.
That’s if you’re using the RBR50 in Router mode.
RBR50 in AP mode lets the DSL Modem assign DHCP.- CReinhardAspirant
Yes the orbi is and always has been in AP mode

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials. What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
What WPA security modes are you using? Set WPA2 and AES only instead of AUTO.Try disabling the following and see:
MIMO, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).I would also try the orbi in router mode and use the modems DMZ to see if the router still looses internet from the modem. Option #2...

Modem Combo Units:
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
