RBR50 V2.7.4.24 that I am unable to clear Security Options (WPA2-PSK) password.
I have reset the router using the pin hole and electronic reset using the interface. I have the password that I used to log into the admin side of my Orbi that keeps returning to the Security Options (WPA2-PSK) and I cannot seem to remove it. It then stops me from being able to connect wirelessly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on how to clear it forever.
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

This option can be removed. Other securiy modes should be selectable however. WPA2 is recommended for the 50 series system.

I can change the password and save it but the minute I go back after the reset it's reverted to the old password. After the reset the router completely I left the factory password, and it held but then when I went back in it was back to the old password. It does the same unless I choose no password.
I would think that it's storing it somewhere and it needs to manually be removed but I have no idea where it is. I have changed it using the app and the computer and it makes no difference. Any assistance would be appreciated since this is giving me so many issues. Thank you.
What browser are you using?
Lets try this, with one wired PC connected to the RBR, turn OFF ALL RBS and disconnect other devices.Disconnect the RBR from the ISP modem.
Log into the RBRs web page and select the ERASE button under advanced tab/admin/Backup.
The RBR should reboot. Wait for the top ring to pulsate WHITE.
Use MS Edge or Firefox or Opera, some browser that has not connected to the RBR before and walk thru the setup wizard at 192.168.1.1.
Complete the setup wizard and get to the home screen. Check the Wifi Settings under the basic tab.

Could there be a semantic issue?
The password entry on the Wireless web page that begins "Security Options (WPA2-PSK)" reflects the choice made on the radio buttons above:
- No password
- WPA2-PSK [AES]
- WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]
Selecting "No password" will remove the password entry section of the web page. There will not be any password requirement to connect to the WiFi network.
Selecting either of the other options will change the text heading to match, and a password must be supplied. (the field cannot be left blank)
Whatever action is attempted will not become effective until the user clicks the blue "APPLY" button at the top of the page.
If a router has been truly "Factory Reset", it is impossible for it to revert to anything. The WiFi SSID/password will be what is printed on the product label and will remain that way until the user deliberately changes it.
