I've had a full working RBR50 and RBS50 for the past 3 years. No issues, all devices connected, no problems. The past 48 hours have been hell! Somehow the satellite lost connection, so I did the ty...

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What ISP service is the RBR connected too? Wall Jack?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Not sure if this maybe helpful:
Can you access the RBS web page at it's IP address in a web browser?
FW is behind so you might, if you can gain access to the RBS web page, update the RBS first using it's web page, then update the RBR lastly:
Can use this process to update your system:
They have USB to ethernet adapters that are inexpensive.

I'm in Router Mode, not AP. And have been since day one. I ditched the ISP modem, since they sucked at the time and used the Orbi system since.
I cant access the RBS via IP address (i tried), mainly because the unit is not connected to the internet. I showing a "wifi signal" and allowing devices to "connect to it", but anything "connected" to is not getting internet.

Hello Cboglio,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are having issues with your RBR50 and RBS50 due to a network compatibility issue. This issue can occur if the RBR50 is on a different firmware than your RBS50. Please check the Firmware on your router and your satellite.
Please follow the link below for instructions on how to check your firmware version and update your Orbi satellite:
For step-by-step instructions on how to manually update your RBK50 please navigate to the link below:

Ok....I updated BOTH RBR50 and RBS50 using the instructions above - downloaded the firmware, updated RBS first, then RBR.
BackHaul is stable and "Good"....YES! BUT.....
The Internet is not working with the connected devices to the satellite. I thought Backhaul issue was the main problem, however now that Backhaul is "good", I still don't get internet.
I'm at a complete loss now.

What do you use to connect to the Internet?
A router like the RBR50 needs something between it and the outside world. A modem, modem/router or #optical network termination (ONT). Sometimes it is a satellite or mobile service. Whichever it is, there is an intermediary in there.
That's why this is one of the first questions people ask when faced with a network that suddenly start playing up.
Just another user with time on their hands.
