RBS50 pulsing white AND power LED pulsing red. Other RBS50 ok

I have one RBR50 and 2 RBS50's. Firmware V2.7.4.24. One of the satellites is pulsing white and cannot be synced with the router.  Plus the power LED is pulsing red.  According to the user guide the pulsing red indicates possibly corrupt firmware.  Following is what I've already tried:

  • Reinstalling firmware
  • Resetting with a paper clip
  • Powering on/off 5 times at one-second intervals
  • Moving satellite to another location
  • Swapping the Ethernet cables from the good satellite to the to the pulsing one

I thought that the 5th bullet (swapping the satellites) would show who's bad.  But it didn't. The good stayed good and the bad stayed bad.

What can I try to further isolate the problem?

    Hello ibeck02,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you are not able to connect your RBR50 to your RBS50.

Are you able to connect your PC to the satellite through LAN?

    Hello Ibeck02,

    Thank you for your reply!

I understand that you have attempted a factory reset on your RBS50. However, if the procedure is not done correctly then the satellite will not reset.

Please follow the steps in the link below to successfully factory reset your RBS50:

Please let me know if you are still having issues.

Yes.  I did that before I posted here.  I just tried again.  Held the resit in for about 10 minutes.  The ppower button continues to flash red.  I also tried the following without success:

      • Reinstalling firmware
      • Powering on/off 5 times at one-second intervals
      • Moving satellite to another location
      • Swapping the Ethernet cables from the good satellite to the to the pulsing one
