RFK53 internet offline

Internet offline message

    This is not enough information to make an intelligent response.  Some suggestions:

     

    • RFK53 is not a Netgear Orbi model number.
      There is an RBK53 (not RFK)  "package" that consistes of one RBR50 router and two RBS50 satellites.
    • Where does this message appear?
      On a device connected to the Orbi WiFi?
      On the Orbi web interface?
      On the Orbi "app"?
    • What exactly is the Orbi connected to?
      (Brand & model of internet device - modem, fiber ONT?)
    • Has everything been working correctly and this error suddenly appeared, or
      Is this the initial setup of the product?

        Thanks for the information about the ISP modem.  It is clearly a modem/router/WiFi combination.  Although thousands of customers connect their own WiFi routers to ISP routers, this creates a "Double NAT" condition which can lead to problems.  This is how Netgear describes it: https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT 

        Should this cause problems, there are two obvious solutions:

        1. Put the ISP device into "modem only" mode (sometimes called "bridge" or "passthrough" mode.
          I did not see anything in the User Manual indicating how to do this, but it might be in the Advanced menu on page 26.

        2. Put the Orbi into Access Point (AP) mode using the Orbi web interface.

        The more relevant question is this, "Is the Vizio TV the only device that is not connecting?"  If this is the case, then the Double-NAT is not the problem.  (It may be a problem in the future, but is most likely not what is causing this issue.)

         

        Where in the connection process does the Vizio fail?

        Is the Vizio capable of using "WPS" to connect to WiFi?
