Roon cannot see endpoint as audio zone on Orbi RBK50 satellite
I use Roon to play music. It is an online digital media player that plays music stored on a network through audio zones ("endpoints") on the network.
Problem - the kitchen audio endpoint appears on the network but can no longer be seen by Roon. It's the only endpoint connected to a mesh satellite (i.e. by wifi). Roon support have no idea how to fix. NB the satellites are all on the same subnet.
Setup is as below. I have disabled MU-MIMO, IPv6 and fast roaming.

It is not clear (to me) how everything is connected.
- Switches must be 'wired'.
- Both Orbi RBS50 satellites connect to the router with WiFi
- Audio systems (study, lounge, kitchen) are all 'wired', correct?
Is this 'Roon' application on a user device or on the Music Storage unit?

- Switches must be 'wired' > yes they are all wired
- Both Orbi RBS50 satellites connect to the router with WiFi > correct
- Audio systems (study, lounge, kitchen) are all 'wired', correct? > correct, study and lounge wired to Orbi router and kitchen wired to satellite
Is this 'Roon' application on a user device or on the Music Storage unit? > music storage unit is a Roon Nucleus so storage and Roon server

NB I have been playing with wifi settings on Orbi system and briefly today the kitchen audio reappeared as an endpoint in Roon but then disappeared again. When I connect the kitchen audio directly to the Orbi router it can be seen by Roon.
Could you please check to see whether UPnP is enabled on this system?

Yes UPnP is on.
well, darn**. Since you were able to connect the kitchen unit to the main router, would it be possible to test it on satellite 1? (That would confirm the issue is with the router-satellite connection rather than with satellite 2.)
What are the model numbers of those two switches?
** There have been discussions on the internet about UPnP and certain Ethernet switch implementations of IGMP Snooping. Basically, the switch learns about a UPnP capable device on the network and then "forgets" about it because the IGMP Snooping code is faulty.
If you have occasion to contact the Roon support folks again, it might be worth asking them how their software knows which compatible sound systems are on the network and what their IP addresses are.
On Android and Windows, there are UPnP Scanner (or Analyzer) apps that will check every device on the network to see which are capable of UPnP connection. (On my network, the Sony TV, Sony DVD, and Sonos speaker show up. Echo Dot and Google Nest Mini do not.)
