We are aware of the issues and working on them I know one person said S8 works just fine on the guest network.

The disconnecting issue started for me right before the latest update. Also I cannot get my 5Ghz band back on or none of my devices will connect to it. I haven't touched any of the settings since I updated to the latest firmware and did a factory reset. All my devices don't disconnect that often but I've seen my Samsung tablet disconnect at least once. My desktop connected to the satellite via RJ45 has disconnected once too. It's just my S8+ disconnecting constantly. I also noticed when I stream on my Samsung TV there are stutters and I have a 1gbps fiber optic Internet. I get max speed of 600+mbps because currently I'm using the cheap CAT5 wire that was used as a telephone line that I converted to RJ45s because the wires are glued and it's a hassle to rewire them. Before the software update everything streamed very smoothly but it's bareable since it's like 10 seconds at most.

Another thing I notice is that my WiFi strength used to be no less than -50s on 2.4Ghz since my 5Ghz won't work anymore, now it goes as low as low -70s from about 20 feet away in another room.
- thereverendJul 22, 2017GuideI'm having the same issue with the S8. It started after a firmware update on the phone. Is it the phone or the Orbi? It does seem to work okay on guest. Why is that?
- thereverendJul 22, 2017GuideNever mind, it just happened on guest. Maybe not as often though.

I downgraded my firmware to V1.10.1.2 because that was the last firmware that didn't give me any issue. I remember 1.11 got me disconnected. Then I followed https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Firmware-V1-12-0-18-Discussion/td-p/1320421/page/5 to disable auto update.
Now my router and satellite works! My 5Ghz band connects and my S8+ doesn't disconnect anymore. None of my devices are having any issues so far. I have an Xbox One, PS4, August Doorbell Cam, Chromecast Utlra, 2 iPhone 6+, iPhone 7, 2 Samsung S8, Macbook Pro 15'' mid 2015, and a custom Desktop connected to the satellite via RJ45.

I've had the same problem as everyone else it seem s and switched my connection to guest mode just to see what would happen. It seems to work and has been holding without dropping connection for 2 days now which it has never done. I switched it back to the main network and almost immediately connection was lost. Orbi you need to get on this pronto. I freaked on samsung cause i thought it was them for 2 weeks. My bad Samsung.
