Samsung Galaxy S8 not working on Orbi RBR40
Galaxy S8 keeps connecting Orbi wifi with message "internet may not be available" then logging off again but all other devices including iOs, TV and laptop can connect quite well. I'm using 1000M int...

Okay, so I found a solution that said to set up a guest network (make sure to PW protect it) and I named it something other than "guest" so that other people in the area don't try to use it. Once I did that and connected to that "guest" network, the connection has worked like a charm. Give it a shot...

I have to turn off then on wifi on Samsung s8+ many times daily issue still exists is Netgear Engineering working on the issue?

Since it seems like not everyone new to the thread is reading:
1. The issue is a combination of the Galaxy S8/+ and the latest Orbi firmware.
2. For those on the US-unlocked variant, we are still waiting for Samsung to push the next OTA for our devices.
3. Some carriers such as Sprint and Verizon appear to have a security update for the S8/+ that has fixed this glitch (probably inadvertantly)
4. Netgear engineering is aware of this issue, and has acknowledged it previously in this thread. That said, they don't seem to be really doing anything to satisfy those of us hungry for a better answer than "please be patient".
5. Using the Guest wifi does work as a workaround, without any further modification needed. The downside being that you may have some issues with device isolation, some of which can be mitigated by checking the box to allow guest network attached devices to see other network devices
6. Resetting your router does absolutely nothing if you have the Galaxy S8 or S8+ that is running the firmware version that started the issue. A few people have reported otherwise, but if it works for one person it should work for everyone and it doesn't.
Please don't ask for updates without reading at least the more recent pages in this thread. Some of us are subscribing so we can see information that is helpful, and every reply sends an email notification that is pointless if you read through this thread.

So, We are sitting here with a $350 wifi router that doenst work. Is netgear going to reinburse us?
This is getting very frustation for all of us. This needs to be resolved asap. We cant use our smart thing in our homes. (Hue, Sonos, etc.....)

Actually my S8+ is the only thing that I'm having any issue with as far as I know. I have Philips Hue, Wemo, an Echo, Google Home, Vivint doorbell, WiFi thermostat and several other things running that seem to work just fine.

S8+ here with the same symptoms. All other wireless appears okay. Maybe its a Samsung issue but samsung also blames Netgear so we are caught in the middle. I'm on verizon so I havent gotten the August update yet, hopefully they snick in a wifi/software fix. It would be nice to hear if any beta software is helping or being worked on from the Netgear end, even if its a workaround samsungs' problems.

I was able to install the Beta firmware last night Beta 2.0.0.62-debug - Did not fix the Wifi issue from what I could tell but was only able to try it for less than 10 minutes last night and started to drop connection within 5 minutes so I went back to my Guest network until I have more time to test.. Starting to think this is more of a Samsung thing after googling around..
