Anyway, the Verizon August update for the S8/S8+ was just delivered. As I expected, a disconnected happened within about 10 minutes of receiving it. The problem isn't an S8/S8+ problem only.

Verizon S8/S8+ received the update today that supposedly "fixes" the problem. In my case, it did not.
