I can confirm that the Verizon update today fixed the issue for me. I am on .18 Orbi (not beta) and I didn't touch settings. Just disconnected from guest Network and connected to main. Been stable and fast for a few hours now. Will report back on thread if things change.
I'm on the main network with the new verizon update, seems stable as well. Thank god!
