Upgrading Existing Orbi Mesh WiFi System
My current WiFi system is an Orbi 5 router with two satellites (one upstaires and one down). The router is attached to a 1G fiber cable which is also used for home phone service.
I currently get download speeds of >450 Mbps and upload speeds of >100 Mbps.
Would I get better performance if I upgraded to either an Orbi 6 or Nighthawk Mesh WiFi system?

Depends on your Mac hardward and what the adapters are built and designed for. If they max out at around 400-500Mbps then trying Orbi AX won't do anything to improve. Uness the adapters in the Max are AX supporting, then of course this would change the performance.
