My current WiFi system is an Orbi 5 router with two satellites (one upstaires and one down). The router is attached to a 1G fiber cable which is also used for home phone service.I currently get download speeds of >450 Mbps and upload speeds of >100 Mbps.Would I get better performance if I upgraded to either an Orbi 6 or Nighthawk Mesh WiFi system? Depends on your Mac hardward and what the adapters are built and designed for. If they max out at around 400-500Mbps then trying Orbi AX won't do anything to improve. Uness the adapters in the Max are AX supporting, then of course this would change the performance.

Which model Orbi do you have? RBK50 or 20 or 40 series?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

50 series Orbi supports near 900Mbps on a wired test:

    Do you get to spec speeds with a wired PC connected to the ONT?
    Possible you might have a router included in the ONT...
