Wifi password doesn't work

According to the label on the bottom, this is an orbi mini router RBR40. Note that this model isn't listed in the Model field above. My computer is a Dell Latitude E6520 running Fedora 28. The hardwired connection works fine where this machine is IP 10.0.0.2. The WiFi connection on the old router works fine.

I am unable to make a WiFi connection on the orbi.

I can find no combination of id/password that works when I try to login as administrator on the orbi as 10.0.0.1 nor as netgearlogin.com nor as netgearlogin.net. The various combinations of an id of none/admin and none/password/1234 don't solve the problem. I am unable to find the circle app on my Galaxy G5 phone.

  • I also tried the default password on the bottom of the orbi with the id of none and admin.

The default login for the admin GUI is admin/password.

If you cannot log in, you can reset the router to factory defaults by inserting a paperclip into the reset hole on the back of the router and holding it in until the power light blinks amber.

  • I do not know what is the cause behind this issue. I have also asked Router Supports for help. I am just waiting for there reply. If anyone from here can help me out then it will be fine for me.

Health warning, Router Supports is an external website that has nothing to do with Netgear.

It is well known  that some of these sites are there just to relieve you of money. They are not affiliated with official support. If things go wrong when you use them, you cannot blame Netgear.

Netgear itself does not provide paid-for support. It farms that out to GearHead Technical Support.

But if you are within 90 days of  buying your device you are eligible for free support via Netgear.
