    Yes, you have to use https.  You wouldn't want to use http because it is unencrypted.  Heed the warnings to put a strong password on your 6100D.  I recommend a password of at least 16 characters.  This will insure that the password is computationally infeasible to crack through brute force.

     

    I'm not sure what's going on with the certificate.  Try clearing your browser's cache, or try a different browser.
