Anyone know what the latest firmware for the M1100 fixs?
As the title says, I just checked and noticed a new firmware is available. Does anyone know what it fixs / changes ?
104 Mb, v NTGN9X50C_10.25.01.01
There's a neat new setting under Setup|Mobile Routing for Ethernet Standby which I have disabled and testing is going well through WAN Connection to Dovado which until now I had to use with Wifi spotboost.
MR1100 seems to run a bit hotter. I have been using without battery since last fw upgrade, up to 10 days without reboot. Currently at 4 hours and counting, with no dropouts and speeds greatly improved.
Dashboard has lost data usage info, hope to see it return. No info on Telstra Community and Netgear UM is still for June 2017.

MicW- what's the number of the firmware you're referring to?
That's why I started this thread a while ago, but I've had no response from Netgear staff yet.

Uk-based
It is the 104 Mb, v NTGN9X50C_10.25.01.01 as hippolyte wrote.I haven't installed it yet as I run my M1 without the battery.
I'll install it tonight , the dashboard usage data has never displayed for me, but I don't use Telstra. I'm guessing that is a Telstra tie in. I'm interested to see if it does provide a speed improvement.
Thank you everyone for the helpful posts .

Thanks MicW for confirming the number. It's interesting that you're not using Telstra - was your M1 part of a package from another carrier or is it an unlocked Telstra device? The reason I ask is that I was under the impression that the M1 only does auto-updates and that firmware isn't available as a manually downloadable file on the Netgear support page. So I'm wondering how you're obtaining the file.
My M1 was part of a mobile internet package from EE in the UK. The latest auto-updated firmware on my M1 is NTG9X50C_10.22.03.00 so I'm hoping I'll get the 10.25.01.01 or equivalent EE version soon.
My current firmware shows data usage. I can't remember if this worked before I set the "Billing start date", "Plan Limit" and enabled the data alerts, but perhaps your interface differs from mine.

New firmware out for MR1100-100EUS retail model too, 12.02.07.00.

hippolyteThe way your dashboard and modem display look is what mine was like before the firmware. It's quite possible that the lack of display data is not a firmware/modem issue , (as the data retrieval is automated for Telstra customers)but a Telstra problem. If they haven't updated their server to match the latest firmware then you would get that result. I would not be surprised if Telstra dragged their feet in updating the server side, perhaps they may be testing it still for stability, before enabling it on their servers and public use.

Thanks for that MicW.
At last, some information that makes sense of this mixed blessing update. It confirms my suspicion that the Mobile Assurance SME and Telstra Tech Support Team I spoke with are not in any kind of real support loop.
Your perspective as a non Telstra customer is invaluable.
This would also tie in with reports of Data Usage Info loss for Telstra customers immediately after the NTG9X50C_10.16.04.04 update, which did not happen to me. Perhaps because of my MacOS-only restore issue, I resist factory resets if at all possible.
With NTG9X50C_10.25.01.00, my Data Usage disappeared first, but the amount remained frozen in the Mobile App prepaid section, until the factory resets. After the factory reset required by Telstra “Support” everything went.
There is one reference on the Telstra Community to a Device Returned to Telstra Shop:
A contract cancelled, a new contract/device with OTA firmware updated by Telstra shop, with an early termination fee hassle. Apparently that new device works as it should.
This confuses the issue, and points heavily to the OTA process, not firmware. This theory could only be tested if the update files were made available. Not likely, given track record of Device Supplier/Manufacturer.
Either way, this forum and whirlpool as an observer, plus the more limited Telstra Community have confirmed my gut instinct to resist the blind return without exchange I have been offered by Telstra.
To alter a familiar saw, “If it’s only half broken, don’t fix it”
⚡️News Flash: response from a Telstra Tech support on Community:
“I’ve been speaking with our Device Support Teams with regard to this problem and we've not been able to replicate it on Test Devices that have been updated to the same software version OTA.
The version we updated to is NTG9X50C_10.25.01.00
It has been suggest for you to contact Netgear directly to see if they can arrange for the update package to be sent to you to perform the update again.”
In other words; Go ask you mother.

Oops, I meant; Go ask Your mother, a far different meaning entirely.

My modem just reported a new firmware is available. Fingers crossed I'll report back once its installed and let you know what version it is,
- MicWLuminary
The new firmware jsut released is version NTG9X50C_10.25.01.01, note the extra .01 so I'm guessing it is a minor bug fix. Pri version is 3.22

No noticeable changes. Everything so far seems to work on a non telstra sim. RS-SINR still displaying 0 dbm, but that is a minor thing. I'm assuming this is the fix for the telstra display, I guess hippolyte will let us know soon if it is working if he upgrades his first M1. And hopefully everyone affected by the bug that prevented firmware updates is fixed now too.
