How to Bind IP-Address to MAC-address on M6

Is there an option to bind predefined IP-Address(es) to certain MAC address(es) on a Nighthawk M6 MR6450?

How could that be achieved otherwise (for example with some other device on the same Network)?

  • Yes, your **Netgear Nighthawk M6 MR6450** mobile hotspot almost certainly supports **DHCP Reservation** (also known as static IP assignment via DHCP). You can achieve this by accessing the router's web interface (usually `http://attwifimanager` or `http://routerlogin.net`), navigating to its **DHCP settings** (often under "Advanced" or "LAN Setup"), and then adding an "Address Reservation" rule to bind a specific IP address to a device's MAC address. If, by rare chance, the router lacks this feature, you could manually set a static IP on the device itself (ensuring it's outside the router's DHCP range) or, for more complex setups, use a dedicated DHCP server on another network device.

  • I dislike this stupid reply which is not even close to a halfway acceptable answer.
It seems as if this reply is fabricated by some automated supposedly 'intelligent' agent.
    Shame you anne789

This is proof of your total incompetence: "If, by rare chance, the router lacks this feature" (to bind IP-Address to MAC-address = Title and question itself).
