M6 pro MR6550 5g not working in South Korea

Hello, everyone

I recently bought an unlocked MR6550 from Amazon.

When I connected to the mobile Internet with a SIM, only 4G is connected, and 5G is not connected.

I am currently using the MR6550 in South Korea. The carrier is SK Telecom.

Could you please let me know how i can solve this issue.

The SKU and firmware of the MR6550 are as follows.
SKU: MR6550-100PAS
Firmware: NTGX65_12.01.20.00

When i tried to update firmware, it's already the latest version, so the update dosen't proceed anymore.

How can i download the latest version of firmware? and can i install the firmware manually?

Thanks

We just posted an update online today. You can check and have your device upgraded. The issue should be resolved in the new release.

    Thanks

  • Did you solve the problem?

To enable 5G connectivity, SKTelecom requires device registration. (5G-OMD)

Do you know what 5G bands are used in SKTelecom?

        Guide

All three cellular carriers use N78 for their 5G services.

        SKTelecom

        LTE: B1, B3, B5, B7

        5G: N78

        Korea Telecom

        LTE: B1, B3, B8

        5G: N78

        LG U+

        LTE: B1, B5, B7

        5G: N78

I want to use MR6550 in Korea, but I want to be sure 5G can be enabled before buy it.
