MR1100 Nighthawk M1 -- Stuck on Firmware Update

The unit is stuck on "NETGEAR" start up screen and will not turn on. It gets power and the screen lights up with "NETGEAR" but nothing happens except a steady on Orange/Red light.

 

Took out the battery and plugged in the USB-C port to power and held down the Power button for 5 seconds while it was booting up and the screen changed and shows "Downloading software update".

 

So I would assume that a software update got stuck and the unit is non-functional. Also, I have tried doing the Reset button many times with many sequences and this has not helped either.

 

QUESTION: Is there a way to restart the unit or do a manual firmware installation?

    Please let me know the SKU name of the device (MR1100-xxxxxx). It is printed on the product label.

     

    How long have you bought the device?

      Any thoughts on how to fix this?

      Model: MR1100

      SKU:  6420B

      Purchased approx:  06/2019

        This is AT&T SKU. Please contact AT&T to get a replacement if possible. The device has to be repaired.
