NetGear MR1100 stopped working after Firmware update

My Netgear MR1100-2A1NAS was upgraded to latest firmware via AT&T recently. It's my backup wifi broadband device so I didn't know it stopped working until today when I tried to connect to it. I was not able to find the wifi SSID so I checked it and the device was frozen and it doesn't respond when I click the power button. I re-plugin the power cable and it rebooted but the problem remains. I tried factory reset button and it rebooted and I see it shows ATT 4GLTE icon and wireless signal. The light turns blue but it still doesn't show wifi SSID.  I connected my desktop to the ethernet port but the computer doesn't get IP assigned. I configured my desktop to use 192.168.1.2 IP and set 192.168.1.1 as Gateway. I was able to login the ATTWIFImanager interface. Everything looks normal from the web UI but I wasn't able to fix the issue. It looks the DHCP service stopped working. I tried reboot, the reset to factory default setting many times. Nothing worked.

IMEI: 015161001472151.

mac: CC40D0B7CAEA

Please help to check what's wrong with the router.

Thank you.

Wen

    Hi Wen,

Could you please follow the steps below and provdie the model.json file?

    1. Connect your device to your computer using USB cable

    2. Log in to WebUI using 192.168.1.1

    3. Navigate to URL http://192.168.1.1/model.json via the same browser window
    4. Capture the results (by selecting all + copy) and send it back

Please send a private message to me with the log.

Could you please explain why you have to use ethernet port to connect to yoru computer?

    Thanks

    John

      Hi,

I sent message with the information you asked.

The reason I have to use ethernet is I'm not able to connect to the router using wireless and USB cable can only charge/power the router but not establish a network connection to it.

Ethernet is the only option I have that I can connect to the UI of the router now.

Is there any way I can reinstall the latest firmware update?

      Thanks,

      Wenming
