Netgear Night Hawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router Model R7000 - Drops connection same time every day

My Netgear Night Hawk 4100 drops connection same time every day. If my power goes out or I reboot it, it will drop connection at a new time, every day at that same new time. Since, I know what time it will drop, I called my ISP and had them on the line when it dropped and their monitoring showed I never lose connection from them and they said it is the router. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • You have the R7000?

    What firmware is on it?

What modemg/gateway is it connected to?

I don't know what that is, certainly not a Netgear model number. Does it have anything to do with the Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems covered in this section?

If your problem is with the R7000 listed in your subject you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    Nighthawk WiFi Routers

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

I misstated in my first sentence, not 4100. Should have said R7000.

That modem/gateway is actually a L2+ managed switch. Its not just a simple modem or even gateway.

L2+ switches have a lot more options for customization/management.

I know you said you contacted your ISP about it but usually the tier 1 people, aren't that familiar with L2 equipment.

I'm not that familiar with it either.
