Nighthawk M1 - SIM card not compatible ?
Hello!
I've recently purchased a Telstra Nighthawk M1 but it seems not to be compatible with “new” SIM cards (at least in France). My carrier is Free Mobile and my 8 years old SIM card is detected (my SIM code is asked) whereas my 8 days old SIM card isn’t detected (“no SIM card found” message).
This type of incompatibility was very present in 2012: (French links)

Am I the only one with this problem? The router hardware revision is 1.0.
Thanks!
Blanca_O I did other test with the 3 last SIM cards : as they are 4FF, I tested with an adapter* from 4FF to 3FF and they works, so my new 3FF SIM card is the problem. A solution is to purchase a 4FF Free Mobile SIM card + use an adapter.
Thanks for your help, problem solved ! :smileyhappy:
*Yes I hadn't tested with an adapter, so obvious and stupid ^^

Hi nokiahelp
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
Is the new Sim card same carrier as with your old sim card?
If you will insert the new sim card to your phone, does it detect the sim card?
Please access the M1 settings page and check for new firmware released. May we please know current firmware version?
Regards,
Blanca
Community TeamHi, thank you for your interest :)
The new SIM card is same carrier (Free Mobile) as with my old SIM card.
Both cards are perfectly recognize in my OnePlus One phone.
If I check for firmware updates it's said "Up to date" : NTG9X50C_12.06.02.00
