    Hello Blondieblue

Have you tried doing port forwarding on your zing something could be blocking a port the apple tv needs to work here is a link to ports that the apple tv uses. let me know if this works

when i used netgear chat i asked them to show me how to forward a port. i don't think that was done, all they had me do is reset a DNS setting which did not work.

i'm willing to port forward if somebody will walk me through it.

at this point, sprint is blaming netflix AND netflix is blaming sprint.

they are both going to loose me as a customer.

Ok what you need to do is log into your zing then click Settings-Router-Port Forwarding Now you will want to click enable.

Ok now with port Forwarding you will want to enter the ports you want to forward. First off you will need to know the ip address of the apple tv that is connected you should be able to find this in the devices tab on the left. once you get that you want to fill in apple tv in the first field then its Ip address in the second one (dont use 192.168.1.1 I used that as a example) and then the last one is the port you want to open these are listed on that apple article I linked before plus it will tell you If its TCP or UDP after that hit submit and repeat the process for every port you need opened.

Let me know if you have any more questions on this Ill do my best to try and help walk you threw this.

  • I have the same problem. I have a roku and an Apple TV as well as 2 laptops and several iPhones and an iPad that are ALL connected to this router through sprint and they can all access my Netflix account except my Apple TV. I also have a secondary isp through the satellite company and when the Apple TV is connected to that modem/router Netflix works on it so it's definitely an issue with the router, not the sprint service or Netflix. Please figure out the issue and provide a firmware update to fix it asap.
