Semi-bricked MR6500 M6 Pro
I'm not sure quite what happened if it was related to a power outage during boot or what, but my firmware appears to be corrupted. The device will boot, but all of the "router" functions fail and the 4g/5g network does not connect. More specifically, the screen looks fairly normal aside from the WWAN being disconnected, but no DHCP is given out on Eth port or USB C port and WLAN is not broadcasted. Setting statically to factory default 192.168.1.0/24 subnet and pinging/telnetting to the device on it's default 192.168.1.1 yields no results. I've factory reset the device via software (on the screen) and the physical button several times now, but the problem persists. I have previously unlocked the device and swapped carriers, but this error does not seem related to that because even on ATT immediately following a factory reset, the same problems persist.
I am able to get into the boothold/download mode and then when I connected USB C I see a device in Device Manager that is unrecognized, but I don't have drivers for it nor a firmware to attempt to push. Please save me an RMA/warranty replacement through ATT. Their support has historically been less than stellar.
Thanks!

Either I or Windows found drivers, so I do now see a handful of COM ports in device manager. I've tried to connect to them with Putty, but unsure of settings or if that is even the right way to go about this vs some piece of software that would connect via COM and push/reinstall the firmware.

Hi pinesol,
Are you still experiencing this?
Please provide the device SKU (e.g. MR6500-1A1NAS).

Blanca

Hi Bianca,
I am still. It is indeed MR6500-1A1NAS. It will boot into download/QD mode and awaits a firmware flash. I have an alternate device that I've been using in the meantime until I can build up the "courage" to deal with ATT's tech support.
Thanks,
Michael
