WiFi is not visible on any other device. There us a red X over the WiFi symbol on the main window

My Modems Wifi is not visible or accessable. 

I have done a factory reaet using the Menu on the screen, (Settings - More - Factory Reset)  as well as using the reset button inside the battery compartment.  This does not change anything.

The latest attempt - Fctory reset and used all of the default settings on the decvice, Stull the Wifi SSID is not visible on any of my other devices.

 

THe WiFi icon on the home screen has a red X beside it.

 

I can connect to the Modem using USB Tethering and can get internet access that way but not using ethernet or WiFi. home screen showing red X on WiFi

    An update on original post. 

    An internet connection via the ethernet port IS AVAILABLE. 

     

    So it is just the WiFi that is not working;
