4350 multiple routers for a/v
I have a video over ip system (transmit receiver bluestream to send hdmi to monitors on a network) 4x 4350 switches with sfp modules to link is 'stacking' how i need to configure this? They will ...
Just to dig into this a bit more, can you explain why you don't recommend stacking the switches?

You'll find what we are supporting for IT (stacking everything everywhere) and what we are supporting for AV (a stack of 2 switches at the core only, for redundancy) on the M4350 datasheet https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/M4350/M4350_Datasheet.pdf, pages 26 and 27.
In a stack, all the multicast is replicated to facilitate the non-stop forwarding (losing a switch without losing multicast on other members of the stack). So this is not a solution for AV over IP.
But, with the Engage controller, you still have one single pane of glass - under Site Settings you manipulate the whole site with your VLAN(s) etc. So it's removing the need for configuring standalone switches, like in a stack. I hope it will help you!
Ah, perfect. I've seen the IT method in several netgear posts around the www, but hadn't seen the AV recommendations.
