Access network when not at home
Hello guys,
Maybe I'm in the totally wrong group, but I hope you guys can help me.
I've a managed Netgear Switch and I have a Camera NVR, Fibaro Home Center etc.
I want to access those items when I'm not at home. How is that possible? How can I create access to those IP's when I'm not on the home network.
Thanks!

Remote access is typically done on a router, e.g. by port forwarding to the LAN (a little bit risky) and slightly less convenient but more secure using a "calling home" VPN, run either on a router, or e.g. on a small system on the LAN, e.g. a NAS (this still requires some port forward to that NAS). A managed switch alone does not help much here.
