chnage password on a NetGear Gs748T smart witch
How can a password be chnaged on the GS748T smart swith. I have tried the optiion under Security and the password does not change at all even after changes are done.

It seems that you are having issues changing the default password of the switch. May I know the firmware version? If it is not up to date, please update the firmware to its latest version and let us see if that will fix the issue. Please also look for the correct firmware that is suitable for the model number of your device as this GS748T has different hardware versions.

Good day John,
Thank yu for your feedback. the switch is currently running on the following firmware versions
software version 6.3.1.16 and for coot version B1.0.0.4. We have just taken over the management of the switches from another ISP. according to the website this version is te latest 5.2.0.11 for the model. I think they might be running the firmware vesrsion of the incorrect model.
Unlikely another firmware version intended for another version can be added and booted. Reads like your switch is from the GS716Tv3/GS724Tv4/GS748Tv5 line, the current firmware would be 6.3.1.39.
Just in case there is some JS cache flaw, click the ([Apply] I think) button with the mouse instead of using just the keyboard.
