GS108PE Web access refused

Dear NETGEAR suppport,

The following malfunction occurs on five PoE switches(GS-108PEv3) which I purchased recently.

* When I accecced by browser, connection is refused.

* But, This PoE Switch reply ping.

This PoE switch get IP address from DHCP Server.

It is poor hardware, or is this specifications change of the software?

It's not Netgear support here, we're just a community here.

Have no similar device to test. So just a little bit brainstorming:

Are these really GS108PEv3? Asking because other models of this product line come with an Access Control table, while the GS108Ev3, GS108PEv3, and GS308E do not support access control. Very early hardware models (GS108PEv1 if I remember right) factory firmware did not come with a Web UI.

Have done a factory reset using the Reset Button process?

What is the firmware in place? There is no need to login, the NETGEAR Switch Discovery Tool (NSDT) will show it.

If using a current v2.6.14 or so, there is a known limitation on this model series where connections with MTU different from the default 1500 (as over PPPoE, VPNs, and the like) don't allow establishing a connection.

What IP subnet is in use for these 10.255.x.x IP addresses?

As a test, can you try to connect the switches to a standard consumer router or the like serving e.g. the 192.168.0.x/24 or 192.168.1.x/24 subnet?

        Thank you for your responce.

These PoE switchies are in remote site, I will try your suggestion later.

        * Confirm model / Firmware version

        * Factory reset using the Reset Button process

        * NETGEAR Switch Discovery Tool (NSDT)

I will report it if I know a cause
