GS116E Replcement
I have a GS116E that was smoked in a lightning strike. What should I replace it with?
Try another GS116E or maybe a 316E series?
Can find good used switches on Amazon or shopgoodwill.
I tried one used GS116E from Amazon. When I tried to log in to the web page it didn't respond so I thought it was dead. I just tried to log in with ProSafe and it worked but I still don't understand why I can't access the web page.
What browser are you using? Try FireFox or Opera or MS Edge
What IP address are you trying to connect to the web page? Default should work unless you connected it to a router and it maybe getting a different IP address thus web page access may change to the new IP address.
I'm using Firefox and it's worked in the past. I'm using the default IP address from the manual 192.168.0.239 and right now it's just my laptop to the access point, nothing else connected and the laptop wifi is turned off.
