By rule of thumb, the R8000P (like any other current Netgear consumer router) can't handle multiple VLAN with dedicated TCP/IP subnetworks.
Not sure why you want to enable the AUto-Vocie VLAN feature with this simple set-up. It will bring the VoIP devices into a different VLAN, which has no IP config, no DHCP server, ... finally no connection to the outside world.

It goes without saying that this is not my area of speciality so I truly appreciate the assistance.
As for the router, what one would you suggest for a small business environment like this?
My rudimentary understanding about using a voice vlan is that it gives priority to voice packets in order to keep conversation smooth and free of interruptions by other network traffic. If that is true, it would seem to be important for even one phone so that the user didn't inadvertently destroy the quality of his phone call by downloading a big file while trying to talk.
I would very much appreciate hearing your response to those thoughts so that I might better understand this.
