GSM7212 switch port failure

Hi

I have GSM7212. One of ethernet ports appears to be broken. When I connect ethernet device to it the light is up, ethernet link is up but device can't get IP address from DHCP sever or ping network. I try to shutdown this port with telnt but no luck. :/ Other ports (SFP and ethernet are ok).

I don't have any VLANs any security settings, etc.

Any suggestions?

  • Did you power cycle it? Did you replace the cables? Did you try to move another device to the port to see if it works? You should do some troubleshooting and list what you did here. That'll make it easier to verify what the problem is.

Yes - I replaced cables, devices works ok in other ports. Reboot switch.

But I make something else. Month ago I configured Port Channel on this port with another one. Few days ago I deleted Port Channel and forgot to save changes :) Repeat deleted procedure and now everything works fine. It's little strange but now it's OK.

Thank You for Your help. :)
