GSM7248V2 - Kind Lost Scrambled Configuration after power outage
Hello,
Have bought this switch second hand maybe 3 years ago, and it has gone through some power down cycles during some maintenance works.
It was running for 1 year at least, and went through a power fault.
when it recover it had configuration scrambled.
Cant say it lost everything, since the Name, IP, DNS, credentials for access of the management interface was ok, nothing changed, and was correct.
It lost/Scrambled, all VLAN and LAG and Router configurations.
1. There were 4 Vlan Routes setup and they were not there
2. Some interfaces lost, or were reset to vlan1, the Vlan Untagg/Tag, and they were also reset on PVID.
3. Lags were a total mess.
I still have to check some other stuff, regarding QOS and security, and need finish setup lags.
This was not a case of Saving Configuration, because it was saved, i might have missed saving when i added some MAC to security, but 100% sure all rest was properly saved.
Is there any way to download configuration to a File for backup? that can be uploaded later in the event of something like this?
After I set it back UP, i didnt try a new power cycle, but im afraid the Non volatile memory can be broken, is there any way to check it, without rebooting the router?
Thank you.

Hello Mjss,
And welcome to the NETGEAR Community! 🙂
You can use the link below to save your configuration file to your preferred destination and use it for future use. Page 583 is how to upload a file from switch either using tftp, http or even USB file upload.
