I need help on my l3 configuration.

Hi,

 

We have recently acquired an XSM4396KO-M4300-96X L3 switch and have successfully configured six VLANs within the switch. However, we are currently experiencing difficulties in establishing a connection between the switch and our firewall via an IPsec VPN.

 

Considering the urgency of this matter, we kindly request your expertise in remotely accessing our L3 switch configuration in order to determine and rectify the issue as soon as possible.

Please let us know when you would be available to assist us, and we will provide you with the necessary details to establish a remote connection.

    While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

    You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

    You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

    I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

    Hi Spellboundvfx,

    It's probably best that you speak to the support team, and/or raise a case through the support channels, to discuss discuss your request.

    But, from reading your post, normally, there isn't a VPN option available on an L3 switch. It would have to be Firewall -> Switch -> Users.

    And, if accessing remotely, connect to Firewall (VPN IPsec etc.) that then allows access to internal network.

    Could you shed some light on the configuration?
