"located on ip network" is not getting router as gateway - dropping connection
I have a new Arris modem from Brighthouse cable. Also have JGS524Ev2 and GS108E. Both of the netgear devices are on the newest firmware and set to DHCP. Oddest thing is when looking at them through C...

Hi JNolan,
I don't see a router on your network order. I believe that you are aware that the JGS524Ev2 and GS108E are not DHCP servers. Usually, an arris modem only gives you a single IP address. So this brings me to another question, which device gives out the IP addresses? Where is your DHCP server?
Thanks,

Morning,
The Arris is a modem / router and is set up as such. Like I said, all other devices work as designed. Only issue is when I use the NetGear routers. It also seems to be more frequent after the last firmware update as it did not occur at all with the GS108e until the firmware update was done.
Right now all is running perfectly. Last test I tried was Router to Netgear to PC I am on. Also had my smart TV on watching Netflix. All runs perfectly until I turn my PC off. Once I do that, the TV loses internet. Thought it might have been a setting on the nic. Uninstalled the NIC and put a new PCI NIC in for testing with the same issue. Also put a laptop in place of the PC and same issue.
Also had assigned IP's to every device by MAC address on the Arris. All IP's were noted and correct. Then ran the same tests with everything getting IP DHCP and same issue. This is definitely something I have not come across before.
Thanks for the help!!

Hi JNolan,
Good to know that you have it working. The PC issue is kind of weird , I have not seen such behavior. As long as the switches are behind the router or the DHCP server, IP addressing should be good.
Let us know if you have more questions, otherwise please mark the post that resolved the issue as "Mark as solution".
Thanks,
