M4100 Switch Uplinks Becoming D-Disabled Randomly

We have many Netgear M4100 Switches in our buildings and we have been finding that the uplink will become Disabled randomly for many if not all of these models and connectivity for that switch will go down.

Luckily we reserve 2 ports for uplink so when this happens we can swap to the secondary uplink but we then have to web in and re-enable to Disabled uplink. This happens quite frequently.

Is there any reason for this?

The firmware version of the switches is 10.0.2.30

Is a firmware upgrade necessary to fix this specific issue?

Thanks

    CIC,

    Welcome to the community! :)

What is the current firmware version of your M4100 switches?

It would be best that you post a network diagram of your existing network to show how devices are connected so that the community members can make suggestions or recommendations.

    Regards,
