M6100 Gbic 10GBase BiDi
Hi,
We have two M6100 Switches connected via a single-mode fibre cable.
Is there a gbic available with 10GBase Bidi functionality to use both fibres with rx and tx traffic to double up the speed?
Or should i take a third-party-module?

Hi Alex: NETGEAR doesn't have BIDI (Bi-Directional) transceivers for 10G over single strand single mode fiber. Yes, in that case NETGEAR will support you using third-party modules. We already did it with many customers for BIDI and there shouldn't be any issue. When you have these transceivers (best would be for test, initially), please get back to your local NETGEAR Sales team, or Tech Support, in order to have your M6100 chassis switches ready to accept these modules.
