No Gigabit connection GS108Ev3
Hi, recently I bought a GS108Ev3 to upgrade my GS105E. The problem is that I can't get a Gigabit connection on my laptop (Asus K52JC with JMicron Gigabit Ethernet Adapter incl. latest drivers...

Nope, tried every step but still no luck.
I mentioned that if I plug my laptop in the GS105E it connects instantly on 1Gbps but when I plug it in the GS108Ev3 it takes about 10 seconds before it connects on 100Mbps.

Hi Onnovh,
It seems you have already opened a support ticket with Netgear Support and you have already submitted the requested packet capture using Wireshark. I suggest that you kindly wait for the response of Netgear Support about the findings of the packet capture whether it might be a compatibility issue between the Asus K52JC laptop and the GS108Ev3.
I will be waiting for your feedback about your support ticket.

I ran across this thread, which I'm not sure is even monitored anymore or if the final outcome was resolved, but I'm having a very similar problem with my switch, except the port the only recognizes 100MB is the port being rung to my router, which effects everything I have plugged into the switch. If someone still tracks this thread, I would like to know if a solution was ever recovered so I can try to get my switch running correctly. Thanks.

Hello rolldog,
Welcome to the community!
I have checked the case that was mentioned on this post and it appears to be a compatibility issue between the GS108Ev3 and the customer's LAN card. So your case might be a little different since all the devices are experiencing the issue connected to the switch. Please provide us more information like the Firmware Version of your switch, type of cables being used or if you have a network diagram that would help a lot. We'd also like to know if this has been an issue since you have used the switch or this is a new issue.
We'll look forward for your response.
Thanks,
