Re: GS108Tv3, disable SSDP broadcast on UDP port 1900

Hello all,

I have exactly the same issue with on Netgear switch M4300 series, running firmware version 12.0.17.

On this firmware version, there is no option to enable/disable switch discovery (SSDP/UPnP) protocol.

I've also tested to stop it by configuring an access list that's deny UDP traffic to multicast IP address 239.255.255.250 and implemented the access list on the control plane of the switch. When I checked the access list, I saw that there are matches and the packet number that are hitting the access list continue to increase (2 packets every 4 seconds) but I still see UDP packets coming from the switch (management IP) on my firewall.

Any idea how to disable SSDP/UPnP or stop the switch sending UDP packets to multicast IP address 239.255.255.250 port 1900?

Thanks in advance!
