GS108Tv3, disable SSDP broadcast on UDP port 1900

I just ainstalled a GS108Tv3 (fw "Software Version 7.0.4.8") and noticed that it is sending (floodding) SSDP broadcast on UDP port 1900. Two broadcasts every 4 seconds.

I do not want nor need this, how can I disable it?

  • As per the 7.0.4.8 RN this was added (after loooong fights):

    • Introduced an option to enable/disable switch discovery (SSDP/UPnP) protocol

    Something like there, but not near to any switch:

    System -> Management -> Switch Discovery .

    PS. Be aware the devices don't chatter on thier own - you must have systems on your network doing some M-SEARCH multicasts on 239.255.255.250, the reply is sent to the requsting IP as a UDP unicast packet 8-) - so the noise is not caused by the device. And no broadcasts involved by the way, too.
