Replacing a switch in a stack
Hello,
I need to replace a M4300-8X8F (broke down) with a M4300-24X24F one in a stack. I found this guide https://kb.netgear.com/21904/How-do-I-replace-a-stack-member-on-my-managed-switch, but I am a bit confused. Does this replacement fall under the different model category? I assume I will also have to reconfigure the vlans on the new switch?
Thanks,
Bjorn

The article also applies to the M4300-24X24F switch as indicated on the section that says "This article applies to:" Kindly check the screenshot below:

Good morning
I'm looking for an article that covers the same process but for the Smart Switch range of appliances in particular I have a stack consisting of 2x #GS728TPS(B).
Would the process be the same?
The stack is in a live environment, I really want to avoid messaging up the switch config
Many thanks
Mike

Welcome to the community! 🙂

You may follow the same KB article indicated above as your guide.
Also, let me share this old community thread here that was solved by a community member having a stack of smart switches that is similar to your concern.
